Can you convert 8mm (from a Sony camcorder) to DVD's? What would the charge be?

All of our prices are per DVD; It doesn't matter the number of tapes you want converted, we only charge per the DVDs made.  Currently, during our Spring Special, it's just $10 per DVD, while our normal price is $15.  And yes, we can convert 8mm(camcorder) tapes into DVDs.

How many DVD's does it take per 6 hour VHS tape? Do you do any editing?

The number of DVDs it takes per 6 hours varies on the quality of DVD you desire.  Similar to how your store-bought DVDs rarely contain more than 2 or 3 hours without it being a 2-disk set, it's the same for us.  It's really a matter of storage size on the DVDs.  You can get up to 6 hours of good quality footage with our DVDs, but some of the older models of DVDs might not be able to play them, therefore we recommend the 4.7 GB 120 minute DVDs with excellent resolution and audio quality.  If you are on a budget the 6-hour DVDs do work in many DVDs, and ALL computer DVD players.

As far as editing, we pride ourselves in our editing abilities.  We allow our customers the option to have dubbed in audio, and chapter selection points.  If you label the time-frames on your tape that you would like the Chapters to be, we can make a chapter for each and name them.  We also are able to combine more than one VHS or camcorder tapes, making each different titles or different chapters on the DVD.

I have a lot of Disney VHS at least 60 of them. What do you charge for each or do you do a package for all.

Due to copyright laws, we are not able to convert any VHS or DVD that is copyrighted.  Sorry

What is the cost and where would we send them?

The cost depends on the number of VHS/camcorder tapes, and also based on the quality you want.  We only charge by the DVD, but the higher quality film requires more DVD space.  For a more detailed explaination of our pricing, please visit our Pricing Page.

I have some really old vhs tapes and some made need to be spliced together, can you all do that. They are family video's. thanks

Yes, we can slice VHS tapes together.  Just be sure to label everything when you send in your tapes, including times, so we can edit everything properly.

My mother-in-law had a vcr tape of her kids when they were little. It got "eaten" in the vcr. We were able to get it out by taking the machine apart, but now the tape is not playable. Do you guys have a way of getting the video off of it and on to a dvd if it is just the tape part? It is not in the case any more. Thank you.

Yes.   We can recase tapes of yours that have been eaten for just $30 and simply use a process of cleaning up the two ends of the film, using the equivalent of vhs-adhessive tape to fix the problem ends. In the end the VHS tape only about 2 to 3 seconds of footage right at the two snip-points, but losing 2-3 seconds is a lot better than losing 6-hours of film, right?!
